You've all been waiting, and the announcement is finally here! Your two favourite mentally ill girls on the internet are going to Japan!
Just in time for Valentine's day 2025, Koinuko and I will be meeting up in Japan for a sugar and anime boy powered holiday! Flights are booked and we're ready to go, all that is left to do it wait until it's time for us to finally depart and meet IRL. The two areas of Tokyo I'm most excited to visit are of course, the two holy lands to nerdy girls: Harajuku and Ikebukuro. We will also briefly be visiting Osaka for a short stay with family.
Things I'm wanting to visit: Takashita Dori, Swallowtail Butler Cafe, TeamLabs Borderless, Meguro Parasitological Museum, Qpot Cafe, La Foret shopping mall (Angelic Pretty, BTSSB, etc flagship stores), Nakano Broadway (SPANK!, DIO bar), Nara Deer park, Ueno park, Ghibli Museum, Sanrio Puroland.
Events I'm hoping to attend: Yokohama Strawberry festival, NitroChiral 20th anniversary celebrations, Nu: Carnival 3rd anniversary celebrations.
I definately feel a lot of inspiration from Princess Peachie's Princess In Japan vlogs. Especially considering we like a lot of the game girly, nerdy, lolita and also nature things. I re-watch her vlogs when I'm sick sometimes haha. I watch a lot of kawaii Japan adventure vlogs from the 2010s. I'm a little sad I couldn't go to Japan during the 2010s when a lot of the things I wanted to see were still open or fashionable. But I know I will still have a lot of fun when I eventually get to go. I wonder if I would have the energy to film my own vlog series? Probably not haha!
