I've been collecting CDs since I was around 12. I didn't have much money growing up, so I couldn't just go to the store a purchase the latest album my emo heart desired. I obtained my CDs at thrift stores when elder emos outgrew their shit music taste and dumped their collections. Now that I am an adult and have my own money for CDs, most of the ones I want to get are no longer in production. So I'm still thrifting for emo music to this day. As well as anything else that takes my fancy. My music taste is varied and I like being able to rotate my CDs. I also really adore my second hand CDs for the loved nature of their cases. Many of my CD cases are scratched, cracked and marked. Some of them even have the name of the previous owner written in sharpie or biro. But these things give them character.

I currently listen to my collection on a pink Sanyo boom box that I recieved from a friend when they cleaned out their childhood room and have since covered in stickers. In the near future I would like to purchase my own USB disc drive for my PC so that I can burn my own CD mixes and perhaps even design cute covers for them...
