Another trip round the sun

Good morning friends! I turned 25 yesterday! Oh my god I'm old what the fuck that's like an actual real adult age. I'm not a real adult yet I'm still young!!! Auuughhh!!!!
Quater life crisis aside, I had a wonderful birthday! My friend D and I went out for brunch, then we hit a couple of thrift stores and came hope to be couch potatoes for the rest of the day! Later on S came over and I was surprised with some wonderful gifts!! D got me a really cute T shirt and a new night cream! I'd been wanting to try a dedicated night cream for a while instead of just using my usual day moisturizer at night. And she remembered that!! She also got me a hilarious bottle of grape juice with Olivine stuck on it. S surprised me with a gorgeous gift basket of snacks AND a birthday cake!!! She got black forest which is one of my favourites. I felt so blessed and loved.

I also bought myself a lot of goodies, TGCF plushies, an order from Pumpkin Knives and the full set of the manga Jealousy by Scarlet Beriko. The manga set arrived that morning which was really nice. I read some of it years ago but never got to finish it, so I'm really excited to read it.

In the evening we engaged in what was once a con season tradition, but now something we don't really get to do anymore. Hentai and Hotpot! We have hotpot and watch a shitty old dubbed hentai. We watched the absolute masterpiece I Dream of Mimi which is exactly like the plot of Chobits except they actually fuck. It's absolutely hilarious. After that we watched some Patalliro which is always a hit.

My birthday aside, I've been hanging out with D and S a lot recently. It's been really wonderful. I love my friends so much. I've been struggling with my mental a lot recently due to the horror of aging, being stuck in a dead end job and feeling behind in life. But both my close friends and my lolita community have been helping me a lot. I love my friends so much!

I've been getting more back into BL and husbandoism as opposed to my lolita and kawaii hobbies, which is generally a sign things are not going well in my life. But I'm trying! I've been trying out some new hair care products to improve the health of my hair and have started doing some light resistance training as well as more stretching exercises to improve my flexibility. I have painfully inflexible legs lol my hamstrings have always been so tight but I think they're getting a bit better! It might not be anything that'll improve my life in a big way, but there's not much else I can do to improve my life until I get a better job.

I've been going to a few parties and social gatherings with D and S to try and meet new people. Most of our friends have moved away in search of better work of a safer and more LGBT supportive city. The city I live in is quite safe in the suburbs, but the CBD is a bit scary. I've been called a fag/whore/slut/slag and assaulted in public for wearing lolita and j-fashion before, so I understand.

I've been thinking about getting back into target shooting! My highschool gun club allowed you to rent one of their own guns which I really liked. I'd like to find a new gun club where I could once again either rent a gun+gear or buy my own and rent a locker at the club so I don't have to go through all the hoopla of having one at home. I was actually inspired to possibly get back into it by playing shooting games at a new arcade. Or maybe I should just keep playing the games there...

I've noticed more of my favourite webmasters have been shuttering their sites recently. It makes me sad but I get it. You can get some really weird attention for having a website at times and life gets in the way. I hope to see you all again out there someday! This is part of why I like trading letters with my favourite webmasters, so even if our websites go down, I can still remember you. My website won't be going down any time soon, though. I've been very lucky for my website to have stayed so lowkey and unpopular despite having been around for so long.

Usually this would be the media segment of my blog, but I'm deciding to omit it this time as I don't think anyone wants to hear about the trashy yaoi and bishonen slop anime I've been consuming. The new Panty and Stocking is awesome, though.
